One week after Dan Brown’s latest novel The Lost Symbol has been published and the book is already breaking records around the world as the fastest selling adult novel ever.

UK, The States and Canada together have helped set a new record for an adult novel, more than 1 million sales in it’s various formats including hard cover, audio books and ebooks make Dan Brow the most profitable adult fiction author in the world.

After more than six years waiting for a sequel to The Da Vinci Code, people were ready for the next Robert Langdom adventure, a modern Indiana Jones that has had to decipher games in Paris, London and Rome in the previous novels.

This time it was Washington DC’s famous landmarks and Masonic society which serve as the key elements to Langdom latest adventure.

More than 1 million copies in 1 day and more than half a million copies in the UK alone in the first week. Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Waterstone’s and Borders all confirm that the sales of the novel where beyond expectations and that it has fit well with the public expectations, Mouth to mouth has been Dan Brown’s key to success in the past and even though this novel’s sales are following a different pattern from Dan Brown’s previous novels, sales are expected to increase in the next days after the first readers finish the book and pass their impressions to their friends and family.

So far this novel has earned the author and his publishers £4,6 in the UK alone, where you can buy Dan Brown’s The Lost Symbol for £7 online

One of the reasons why this novel is selling so fast is the need for an escapism for people in this times of economic doom and gloom, people need to feel engaged to stories that will allow them to forget about their financial problems and one thing that Mr Brown does well is to entertain people with his stories of shady societies that overpower governments and international organizations and that hide under a myriad of symbols and mythology.

Washington DC official information page has published a guide of the landmarks described in The Lost Symbol including The Capitol Building, The George Washington Masonic Memorial and the Botanic Gardens.

Being one of the best selling authors of the latest years means that as the King Midas everything Dan Brown seems to touch or talk about turns into gold and many jump on the wagon of his novels to monetize on them.

Many have already read “The Lost Symbol” and it’s already being described as “Entertaining page turner” which is what the author aims to.

The cover of Dan Brown’s latest novel to be released on September 15th. has just been unveiled.

This novel is one of the best guarded secrets with myriads of speculations going around the web, the truth is that nobody except Dan Brown and his publishing company know what the story is about.

What we know for sure is that Robert Langdom will again be the main Character and that the whole story will span in about 12 hours of his life in Washington D.C. and we know that because Dan Brown himself has confirmed it, the rest of the stories that go around the web are pure speculation.

The book will be available to the public at the discounted price of $16,17 preorder here in the states and only £9,79 preorder here in the UK a great bargain for a first edition hardcover version

As you can see both covers feature the Capitol and while the American version features a wax seal the English version features a Freemasons key on fire, all these are clues to the storyline of the book, so go ahead and guess the storyline of the Lost Symbol, what do you think these cover mean?

Tom Hanks aka Robert Langdom is very excited about the new installment of the handsome faculty professor adventures, he says he can’t wait to read the new adventure of the character he has played twice in the two Blockbusters “The DaVinci Code” and “Angels & Demons”.

Hanks who was attending the Japanese premiere of Angels & Demons commented on his expectations for the new book The Lost Symbol where he expects to reprise his role as Robert Langdon when the movie is released.

Up until now the Vatican has condemned both movies based on the adventurous character because it considered both the books and the movies as a serious offense to the institution and to God.

Hollywood A-lister Tom Hanks has said he can’t wait to read The Da Vinci Code author Dan Brown’s new book which will be published around the world on September 15th (you can preorder the hardcover edition of The Lost Symbol here at $15,63).

According to the Vatican, the dismissal of the movies by them is only a publicity stunt by director Ron Howard to get more press coverage on the movie.

Some sources close to the Vatican define the movie as “innocuous entertainment which hardly affects the genius and mystery of Christianity” and another one “modest quality that was saved only by the presence of Tom Hanks”.

The Lost Symbol is the title of Dan Borwn’s latest novel to be published later this year, but a few months ago it was reported that the title was going to be The Solomon Key, whuy this change of mind? The Solomon Key sounds so much more mysterious and attractive than The Lost Symbol.

On the first place, The Solomon Key was only the working title of the book, and we all know how tight secrecy is around Dan Browns work, so the minute the working title was leaked, people began speculating about the contents of the book and mixed news were published misleading the public and creating some sort of turmoil around the novel.

Finally the official publishing date has been released and The Lost Symbol will be here on September the 15th. according to the sources that have actually read the book already, the book takes you on a 12 hour trip that as it’s predecessor will make it hard for you to put down until you finish it.

Following the success of The Da Vinci Code from 2003 Dan brown will publish his third novel featuring the Harvard University professor Robert Langdon, according to some reports the book will take place in Washington D. C. and will evolve around a Freemasons intrigue storyline.

According to Dan Brown’s American publishers the book is “a brilliant and compelling thriller” and very much well worth the wait, with an initial printing of 6,5 million copies, this will be the largest first printing for that house.

Dan Brown’s promotional website state that the hidden puzzles in The Da Vinci Code ‘s jacket gives some hints about The Lost Symbol storyline.

The author himself has stated that wirting this book has been a “strange and wonderful journey”, originally the book was going to be named The Solomon Key which led hordes of fans to talk about how to decipher the key and speculation about the plot, so the new title is as vague as possible, so the details of the novel can remain secret until officially published.

The new novel can be preordered here from Amazon at $15,63:
